For the price of upgrading to the parts that come standard on a Pure Fix Original would cost $50-$100 more than just buying the an Original (@ $350) to begin with. The 35mm deep V rims and hubs are tough (I bunny hop curbs on my bike) and the Thickslick tires are baller. I though I was not going to like the riser handlebars but they have definitely grown on me. The saddle leaves something-to-be-desired. The pedals are quality and I love how the chain tensioners are built into the dropouts.
