The importance of rear brakes!

As you may have noticed, our bikes come standard with a front brake. We do this because we think that the stopping power on a fixed gear is most functional and best performing with a front brake. Some riders think that with only a front brake, while going downhill, they may fall over the handlebars with heavy braking. (We've never seen that happen on one of our bikes.)

Lots of our riders purchase rear brakes on the side to increase their braking power, and to give them the option of a more balanced braking system.

Safety should be a priority! We design our bikes with safety in mind, and we wear our helmets when we ride! So, get your rear braking kit from us and ride safely, kids!
